The CIEH has launched the CIEH Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets, an accredited nutrition qualification in light of increased public interest in this area.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) is a Professional and Educational Body dedicated to the promotion of Environmental Health. As well as providing services and information to its members, the CIEH advises Government departments on environmental health and is consulted by them on proposed legislation.
Consumers have become increasingly aware of the effects of a poor diet and businesses are keen to understand the links between diet and health to meet changing customer demands.

This course is suitable for people in catering who prepare and serve food.

Duration & Format
This course comprises of six hours training completed over one day or two sessions. Delivery includes participatory excercises, group, individual activities and trainer input.
Assessment method: Multiple choice examination
The course ends with a short multiple-choice test
Candidates will need to achieve 20 correct answers from the 30 questions to receive the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets Certificate.
An oral option is available for those who require this. Please state at time of booking whether an oral examination is required. In the event that we are unable to provide this on the course day, you may be asked to return for the examination at a later date
